U.S. banks begin to repay the Tarp

Two U.S. banks, U.S. Bancorp and BB & T has announced that it paid billions of dollars of aid they received through the Tarp (Troubled Asset Relief Program). U.S. Bancorp and BB & T has refunded $ 6.6 billion and 3.1 billion dollars. Both institutions should be followed by other banks soon: last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that JP Morgan and American Express should begin to repay the federal government today.
