The NFL will highlight the 50th anniversary of the AFL matches with 16 "heritage"

NEW YORK - The NFL will host 16 games this season during which we will pay tribute to the American Football League, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2010.

In announcing the holding of the 16 clashes on Tuesday, the NFL said that the original eight teams of the AFL to have uniform style.

Eleven matches "legacy" will be clashes between the original teams of the AFL, including: Buffalo, New England, San Diego, Denver, Oakland, Tennessee, Kansas City and New York (Jets). The Chargers have in fact begun their activities in Los Angeles in 1960, while the Titans were the Houston Oilers and the Chiefs, Texans of Dallas. The Jets were known as the New York Titans at the time.

The first match legacy will take place during the camp. Buffalo then face Tennessee in the game of Fame in Canton, Ohio, August 8

At the first Monday evening of the regular season, there will be a double faced putting Buffalo at New England, followed by a duel between San Diego and Oakland.

The AFL began its activities in 1960 and lasted until 1969, when a merger with the NFL became official. The two leagues have begun to play a single championship match at the 1966 season, although it was called "Super Bowl" until 1969, when the Jets have faced the Colts in Baltimore.
