Blatter announced the withdrawal of screens around the pitch

PRETORIA (AFP) - The television screens next to the fourth official will be removed from the vicinity of the pitch in the Confederations Cup, said in Pretoria on Thursday the president of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Joseph Blatter .

"It's over, we have removed, no one can say that the video will interfere," said Blatter, who said that the aim of this measure is "to be sure that there is no doubt on this point, which caused controversy in recent pitado days by a criminal in the Brazil-Egypt (4-3).

In that game, played in Bloemfontein on Monday, the English referee Howard Webb's whistle a penalty in the last minute and Egyptians protested in finding that the decision was made after the fourth official seeing the controversial video game.

The Egyptian Federation filed a complaint, but FIFA rejected this, saying that the referee had consulted one of his assistants and that the video had nothing to do. The problems caused by the criminal against Egypt reassures Blatter in his opinion against the use of video.
"I keep thinking that we should not use the video for decisions on the field," the Swiss leader. "This is not mine, has been confirmed and reconfirmed by FIFA's International Board (IFAB), the guardians of the rules of the game," he added.

On traffic problems in gaining access to stadiums that are experiencing the matches of the Confederations, Blatter said that measures will be taken to avoid repetition in the World-2010.
"I am confident that these problems will be solved for the movement World," he said optimistically. "We have these problems because they (South Africans) are preparing the roads for the next year and all traffic has to go far by just one path," he said. The head of FIFA also rejected criticism of the Spanish players on the lawn of the Free State in Bloemfontein, who felt very dry and whose condition was described by some as "shame" or "disaster."

"I am surprised by the criticism, but I am very strong comment that is a shame and a disaster, but so are the Spaniards," said the Swiss, who proposed "pouring water" when a party before it is considered that the ground is too dry .

In reference to American football, Blatter stressed that this is a problem that the season of Major League Soccer (MLS) is from March to October, as this was important gaps with Europe.
"There is a big problem, and managers in the United States know. MLS teams do not own their stadium and have to use other sports like football," he added.

Blatter said that while other countries have adapted to the timing of the schedule of football and other European countries, United States continues to maintain this problem for years.
